Family first......friends forever
Today is my sister Erica's birthday! I love this picture of us. It was taken at the rehearsal dinner, the night before her wedding. Erica might be married and a mommy, but in my eyes she is still the little girl who followed me everywhere I went, had slumber parties in the living room watching "Little Mermaid", and the one who played countless hours of "house" and "school" with me. I have loved watching you grow from a child into a woman, wife and now a mommy! I love you, Erica. I don't know what I would do without you! Happy Birthday!

Catching up!
Whew! The month of June seems to just be flying by! John and I went to our friend Lauren and Collin's wedding in Wichita Falls a few weekends ago. It was a beautiful wedding and I had a blast being a bridesmaid. The last few weeks, I have kept my nephew Tristan on Tuesdays and Thursdays. It is so much fun to have him, but boy is it exhausting! I am totally enjoying all the bonding we are doing. This week, I am keeping him on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday! John is trucking along through this crazy last few weeks of school. He has finished the dreaded "30 page paper." We are looking forward to our vacation to San Francisco in July. We are also doing some work to the interior and exterior of the house but I will post about that later when it is complete.
Happy Father's Day, Daddy!

MBA.....almost there....
Some of you may not know this, but John has been working on his Masters (MBA) for about 2 years. He has been doing this while working his regular job. The summer classes are always the worst because they cram so much into just a few weeks. He is taking 2 classes this month and 1 next month and then he will be DONE! WOO HOO! Meanwhile, it is all business around here this month with lots of reading, assignments and a 30 page paper, yes I said 30 pages!! John said not too worry, it can be double-spaced! I am so proud of him for sticking with it all while working and putting up with his crazy wife (did I mention he's made all A's!)
John was really trying to read and I was snapping pictures. I told him to say," I would have gotten an A if my wife would have left me alone to read in peace!"
John's calendar to keep him on top of assignments this summer....I think I will write "date night with DeAnna" on there somewhere :)

Wednesdays with Erica
My sister Erica has most Wednesdays off from her job as a sonographer. We are always happy when summer arrives and we can hang out each Wednesday. Today, we dropped my car off to get some work done on it and went to Kohls and then to Stonebriar Mall. We had every intention of eating in the food court, but California Pizza Kitchen was calling our name, so we ate there instead. Tristan was very good through our meal. He sat in the high chair half the time and sat in our laps the other half. I can't wait for our next Wednesday outing!
Tristan loves drinking out of a grown up glass. He now reaches for any cup on a table!

Fun in the Sun
What a fun weekend! We started off Saturday with lunch at my parents house. Then we went for a dip in their pool. It was our first time in this season. This was also Tristan's first time in the pool. He was a good sport about it! On Sunday, John and I went to Lake Ray Hubbard. His friend has a ski boat out there. I love being out on a boat and swimming in the lake. I would like for us to have a boat some day!! John and I are both pretty pale but we managed not to fry this weekend. Thank goodness for 50 spf! Here are a few pics from the weekend. My mom and Tristan!
